Journey in Grace

How many times have we heard that famous saying about good intensions? Unless you produced, your good intension was worthless, right?

Yoga says now wait just one minute. What if we counted every baby step as a win? Not in a a “trophy for everyone” kind of way, but in a “slow and steady” kind of way. You commit to a journey, and then you thank yourself for every steady, daily step - big or small.

But journeying in grace also means that If we mess up, we can't kick ourselves. Instead, we gracefully remind ourselves that getting back up after a fall is tough. In other words, our mess-up has now created an opportunity to do something tough.

“The very heart of yoga practice is ‘abyhasa’ – steady effort in the direction you want to go.”–Sally Kempton

Until next time,
